strategic planning overview

We at Sanestorm take strategic marketing planning very seriously. For the most part, we use a modified Total Quality paradigm that relies heavily on “balanced scorecard” concepts for overall guidance, and a project planning blueprint for specific program development. The two attached PDF documents are essential to our philosophy and consulting model

The first document is a general description of how vision, mission, strategy and values apply to overall marketing planning and to the project management process. It is an excellent initial overview of these concepts for organizations that have not previously embraced a strategic management system for their marketing efforts.

The second document is a generic project blueprint outline. Here you see the steps that we go through when planning a marketing program or campaign. This project blueprint allows for consistent program design and implementation, and takes into account important aspects of the process, including:

  • Requirements for successful implementation
  • Total involvement of leadership and employees
  • Avoiding unnecessary costs
  • Alignment with company goals
  • Descriptions of key relationships
  • Integrity of the process, deliverables, expenses and products
  • Gap identification
  • Review of current applicable processes
  • The development and execution of solutions
  • Ongoing measurement and tracking

By working within a framework of vision/mission/strategy planning, and adhering to a cohesive, time-tested project planning model, Sanestorm takes marketing planning out of the “pie in the sky” realm and connects it to your business reality.
